It’s the best thing since sliced bread. Well, at least, it’s the best thing happening at the historic Wonder Bread factory since it’s been converted to new upscale condominiums.

Wonder Lofts is celebrating its official grand opening with the debut of a new on-site sales gallery and model homes at the collection of 83 family-sized residences, according to an announcement from its developers, Prism Capital Partners in partnership with Parkwood Development.

Located at 720 Clinton St., Wonder Lofts places residents in the heart of Hoboken with new models featuring two-and-three-bedroom homes styled and designed by Serena & Lily.

The design touches of the original Wonder Bread factory, which churned out fresh bread from the 1910s to the 1960s, have been preserved in the community’s contemporary redesign. The original brick detail, archways, high ceilings, large windows, a smokestack and a water tower were all meticulously restored, and such modern additions as a façade of glass and light grey aluminum add to and accentuate the restored original structure.

The community also features a newly constructed five-story building located across the street, which is home to 15 of the residences — several of which include private yards.

Residences showcase how Wonder Lofts has separated itself in the market by blending large homes with interior and outdoor spaces more commonly found in townhomes and brownstones, with the many advantages of a new condominium building featuring a comprehensive set of modern amenities.

“From the inception of the development, we saw this historically important property had the beauty, size, structural strength and uniqueness to create a one-of-a-kind boutique community that could offer residents the best of Hoboken’s charm and location combined with the amenities of a Manhattan luxury building and living spaces typically only available in a suburban home,” Robert Fourniadis, senior vice president – residential of Prism Capital Partners, said. “We were able to make each individual home unique, which rarely happens in new construction condominium buildings, and made sure that each home had its own private outdoor living space; large enough to entertain family and friends. We’re delighted to now see that vision become a reality.”

Living at Wonder Lofts includes enjoying 14,400 square feet of shared indoor and outdoor amenities for an elevated lifestyle. The highest rooftop, with its 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline, all of Hoboken and beyond, is a beautifully landscaped patio lounge featuring an infinity-edge swimming pool with lounge chairs, a circular outdoor bar underneath the restored water tower, gas barbeque grills and abundant dining and lounge seating areas with a fire pit.

An indoor residents’ lounge on the second floor features a large and elegant living room that opens to a landscaped, outdoor terraced patio and garden with seating areas. A floor-to-ceiling brick, double-faced fireplace separates the living room from an open concept dining room and entertainment kitchen, and an adjacent billiards and game room.

The building also boasts of a two-story lobby with an attended concierge, a coworking/study area, a secure onsite parking garage with electric car charging stations and pet grooming area.

Every home includes a parking space in the secured onsite garage and significant private outdoor space ranging up to 1,900 square feet. Many of the outdoor spaces feature views of the Manhattan skyline.

Remaining homes at Wonder Lofts are priced from $1.599 million for two-bedroom residences, $1.899 million for three-bedroom homes and $2.249 million for four-bedroom floor plans.
